Geoff's G15

Postby spadge » Tue Oct 06, 2009 8:52 am

Foolishly we have agreed to tackle the bodywork on Geoff's G15 without fully stripping it down. It has a lovely chassis, interior and door shuts etc. Our challenge is to retain these features whilst curing the usual stress cracks and microblisters. We met Geoff and the car and came up with a plan. Now we've started work, the plan has changed!

Once we'd drawn a map of the several carribean islands on the front cover, we decided to replace it.

Rather than blast the entire rear end, we have decided just to DA the top surface as the rest is OK.

So, it was out with the grinder and on with the glassfibre matting and resin, to be followed by tissue where appropriate.
