6th February 2010 The long G4 is sold!There's some news in the motorsport section. The G10 is being collected on Monday for some cage fabrication. While our lightweight round tube G4 comes together, we are rebuilding the G27R into a G20 GTC which should be a somewhat quicker and less-expensive process. |

1st February 2010 Where did January go?! We spent some happy times at the Autosport Show where the lovely G40 was unveiled
The G10 body is looking good and there are some pictures on the bulletin board. The G32 Turbo is running and nearly ready for the MOT. We have bought a G20 junior to build into a racer a la G20 GTC and we are working on the G27 race car also. We are interested in buying G27 body panels, particularly light weight ones and we are gearing up to be able to support all the various models that were produced by Ginetta cars. To that end, our G4 style bonnet for the G4/4 and G27 will shortly be available.
One G4 is off to the paintshop. We have a special offer on a G12 body/chassis - email Joel for details and we have a round tube G4 chassis in stock - email Joel again. Yes! Joel has taken on an administration role in addition to his technical work in order to give Spadge more time to expand the business. There is an update on the G4 racing page.  6th January 2010 Happy New Year?! Snow has delayed the return of several finished cars since the break. And even worse, we've sold our blue race G4 just when he'd got it all sorted. The proud new owner is an old friend with a bad neck! Work has started on that special G32

7th December 2009 Luigino has managed to get the G4 we sold him registered in Italy - Result!. Steve's G15 is now painted and has gone back home. There are a couple of other G4s in the workshop and work starts in earnest on the G10 this week. In the dark of Saturday night, a number of fellow Ginetta Owners' Club Committee members descended on the Black Barn and dumped all the GRS moulds and a G21 bodyshell with the roof chopped off. None of us can quite work out why, it just seemed the right thing to do! |
 1st December 2009 G15 number one is having it's unique bib re-constructed. John's G4 now has it's roof fitted and aeroscreen done too. There's an out of date G15 user guide on ebay for £30! Why bother when ours is up to date and free?! That G32 below has been bought by friends and will be here soon. |

13th November 2009 Nothing here looks very nice at the moment! So we thought we'd show you a recent gathering of G15 owners. The original G10 is now here for body restoration - it's not pretty! We have a Dare G4 in, upside down, working on the chassis - it's not pretty! G15 chassis number 1 is under restoration but even now - it's not pretty! The two G4s we're building are both great but at that stage where -it's not pretty! The boys are working hard on the G4/4 but, you guessed it.... - it's not pretty! Roger Cowdray has been in touch recently and this was him in his G15. There are more pictures of racing G15s on Alan's popular bulletin board topic.

6th November 2009 Does anyone have colour pictures of the Ginetta Stand at the 1965 and 1966 Racing car shows? They would greatly help regarding the G10 and a G4 project we are currently involved with.We are organising a track day at Goodwood for friends/customers in conjunction with Joe at Throbknozzle. It will be in mid/late February 2010. It will be open to road and race cars and we will bring our corner weight gauges and tracking equipment with us. There will inevitably be some sort of centralised catering arrangement to further encourage the social nature of the proceedings! Email if you are interested. |
23rd October 2009 The Stig had been doing his magic again. This time it was on G15, chassis number 1, belonging to Paul Knapton. As usual, the results were well worth the effort.The office is closed until Monday 2nd November. Work will continue on a round tube G4, a square tube G4 a Dare G4, a G15 and a G4 style bonnet mould to fit G27s and G4/4s. |
15th October 2009 Customer and friend Paul made Autosport Magazine today following a big one at Mallory Park and his G27 needs a little work too. Get well soon old chap!John's G15 and Gerry's G15 have gone for paint, Alistair collected his G15 (which also needs paint) and we let Joel out of the body shop today to begin the strip down of G15, chassis number 1. We have two more tuned Dare G4s coming in for sale any day now. Email Spadge if you want to get a look early. We recently received a lovely picture of a chap showing his family a great time. Sitting around in a concrete garage looking at a G4.

6th October 2009 In Scotland there's a G33 in a breakers yard. Email Bill if you want to save it or need any parts.Phil has sent us some great G4 racing news from a bumpy airfield in USA including an awesome video! The original G10 has been repatriated to the UK. It is being fully and sympathetically restored to period racing specification and we will be off to see it soon. Geoff's G15 is in for a full respray and Steve's G15 is in primer and ready for him to choose a colour! The G4 has gone for paint and we're sending G15 and G4 parts all over the world. |

29th September 2009 Emile and Mark did well at Spa, posting a 3.10. We didn't make it but hope to hear more soon.The Ginetta Owners' Club Speed Championship results are in. Congratulations to Mark Paterson in his G15 (thanks Rog!) who was 1st overall despite having one of the highest competition G15s we've seen! Nick Stephens was 2nd overall in his G12. Rob Pallett was 3rd overall in his G33 (send us a pic. Rob!) Les Czakow won Class 1 in his G15, Matt Eady won Class 3 in his G4, Geoff Stallard won Class 6 in his G12 and Steve Fidler won Class 7 in the G18. |
21st September 2009 Goodwood was great!. Paul F's G4 was 5th in the highly competitive Fordwater Trophy. His Throbnozzle engine and rather more set up time contributed to his beating Paul G's car by 6 places. Richard Dean did very well to qualify us in 15th despite a misfire and anti-roll bar problem and went on to finish a highly creditable 11th.George Gould, one of the original owners of the green G4 was reunited with it at the meeting. Other highlights included meeting Nichola from Germany who wants to race a G4, the all-mini St Mary's Trophy on Sunday and the TT race on Sunday with some stunning Ferraris and Lightweight E types battling for an hour. 16th September 2009 We're off to Goodwood until Monday. John's G4 has a new diff and the aeroscreen is coming along.The driveability of the long cockpit G4 was an eye-opener at the weekend when we went to cheer on the Ginetta LMP1 at Silverstone. Nigel spoke to us in the salubrious factory hospitality area and his comments about driving and positive reaction to the car were interesting. We are really pleased to announce the imminent appointment of an exclusive agent in Japan. They have excellent facilities and through them we will be providing a full range of cars, parts and accessories for the Japanese market. More details soon! Alistair's G15 is just waiting for a road test. |
11th September 2009 Testing Paul's G4 at Goodwood went well yesterday. It's certainly not the best value in terms of track time but the weather, venue and company were second-to-none. The car is now ready for Richard to drive in the Fordwater Trophy on Saturday 19th September alongside (if not in front of) the other G4 entered.Remember the yellow G15 we sold? Well Sam is getting on well with the straight - forward restoration that we told him it would be. Rather than play with his G4 that we are racing in the Spa 6 Hour later this month, Emile has been painting the G16 we did for him. We're off to the Silverstone 1000 km race this Sunday thanks to VIP passes kindly sent by the Factory. We'll probably give the long cockpit G4 an airing, somebody has to do it! |
8th September 2009 John's G4 is in for his roof to be fitted and a full width aeroscreen, like we are doing for Nick's car and one for the USA too.We thought we'd finished the major repairs on Steve's G15 body until we turned it over..........! Normans G21 went off for some engine magic and we're off testing at Goodwood on Thursday prior to the Revival later in the month. The engine is out of Spadge's G4 to nail the problem once and for all. Oh, and the silver G4 is sold and off to Italy. |
2nd September 2009 We were part of a very small team watching Nigel Mansell and his son Greg, testing the LMP1 car with our business partner Lawrence, last month. More news in the next GOC newsmag.With two G4s at the Goodwood Revival and Spadge sharing Emile's G4 with Mark Smith and Emile in The Spa 6 Hour Race, September looks to be an even busier month than August. There are some developments in Japan for us. A G4 left here for Austria recently in a very neat, purpose built transporter. Another is heading off for Italy soon. |
7th August 2009 There's a nice G4 article in the September issue of Motorsport. Phil called for some advice on a G33 purchase, bought it and then turned up with it for a seal of approval and a new fan fuse. Ian is nearing the end of a G15 restoration having just had a carpet kit. The car is a fabulous colour.... The Stig has been over again working on G15 bodyshells. Alistair's G15 is running with a new enlarged fuel tank fitted. And sadly, the racing last week did not happen as we still have engine problems. |
29th July 2009 Our email has been down for over a week! Sorry, it's fixed now. If you have not had a reply that you may have expected, please try again.The Cosworth V6, IRS G21 is having new tubular front suspension and big brakes fitted. We have someone looking for a G21. Have you got one to sell? We are working hard on a G4 that's going to Europe, and starting another for the UK. With a number of other enquiries; the waiting list is beginning to build up. The land speed record G4 is heading for the salt flats this coming weekend. We wish Bregt all the best. Alistair's G15 is about to live again, having come in for a lot of work and we have two G15 bodyshells awaiting restoration. Spadge is out at Silverstone with the CSCC at Silverstone on Saturday. Recent engine problems were found to be a combination of a porous inlet manifold, dodgy £100 head gasket and a melted ignition module! Justin has been fettling his G4 and will be out at Mallory on the 9th of August. |
14th July 2009 Several of us have entered races in the Silverstone Bentley Drivers Club meeting on the 8th and 9th of August. It's the 60th anniversary of their first race so it should be a good bash! There are details of the Birkett Relay which we intend to enter; on the Bulletin board. And Stewart at the factory is putting on a race at Spa that we can do. Details here. 9th July 2009 There's a good value G27 with a G4 roof on Ebay. Dave's Tardis G4 is now here and for sale. Paul's Goodwood G4 is having a few jobs done and goes home tomorrow. Alistair's G15 is being worked over. Steve's G15 came in for a body restoration yesterday. Charles is calling in for more G15 parts tonight. Tom is waiting for some G15 spares in Norway. |
